Product Introduction
What Miss Honeul Says:
I love the MSI Wind u100. I was thinking if I should get the empire black or angel white but since the white carries more elegance than the back version, I decided to get the Angel White. As of now, you can see lots of subnotebook (aka UMPC) available on the market. There’s the Acer Aspire One, Lenovo and of course Asus EEEpc but why did I choose MSI Wind?
The Physical MSI Wind
Okay, so let’s try to talk about the physical appearance of the MSI Wind. MSI Wind has 10 inch wide screen display unlike the other UMPC which has only 8″-9″. The frame has 26 cm (in length) and 18 cm (in width). It is only 19-31.5 mm in thickness making it extremely thin. The total weight added with the battery is not more than 1 kilogram, making the U100 very ideal for taking it on the go. In addition, the 1024x 600 resolution can relief concerns of the full display of Web pages while browsing, giving you the freedom when exploring the internet.
The keyboard is also wider than most of the UMPC available on the market. Though at first try you will have a hard time since it’s really smaller than the regular laptop keyboards. But I assure you that you will get use to it. Added to that are the integrated communication devices such as the webcam which has 1.3mp, you can take your still photos and videos both indoor or out. You will really enjoy chatting with your friends with this camera and also with a mic. The speaker are also the one thing to you might want to choose this UMPC. It has 5 mini speaker at the left side and full of speaker at the bottom for much louder effects.
Inside MSI WInd
Moving on with the specification. The MSI Wind, though smaller than the laptop you’re using now doesn’t mean it also has smaller package to offer you. This amazing light UMPC carries a 160gb hard drive where you can store videos, files, and documents and without the worries of not having enough memory capacity to record the greatest moments in life. The system memory is 1gb and can be expanded to 2gb!
It also uses the newest Intel® Atom™ Processor which is the smallest and uses the least energy (power usage in limited below 1 to 2.5 watts) Intel processors thus far. Not only so, this processor has more than enough mobility and outstanding functions so our users can to have complete access to the resourceful internet. Always staying connected to the variety and options of entertainment also with the use of Wireless internet connection. The battery can last longer that makes it more convenient for the user.
The Verdict
This is one amazing UMPC you want to buy. It’s affordable, lightweight so it would be easier for you to bring everyday, anywhere and it can serve you as any regular laptop can. The design is very elegant and doesn’t look like you’re using a child’s laptop, you’re friends or co worker will totally envy you. Wider screen for easier browsing, documenting, or even watching movies.
So what are the cons of this mini notebook? As of now, I have none! I totally enjoy it and loving it every single day!
