    1. Broken Angels

I found a collection of Manga at National Bookstore last Saturday. They’re all so cheap, Php 75.00 for a single volume so I bought 2 volume right away. Here’s the title: Broken Angels.

I finished reading the two volume just a while ago. It is not as interesting as Ouran or Fruits Basket but I think the main character is so cute considering that she’s a girl. Here’s a little plot about the Manga, I took from AnimeNewsNetwork:

The story is about Fujiwara Sunao, a high school student often mistaken as a boy because of her dressing up like a boy. Sunao also has the ability to control and manipulate water at will. She appears to be the uncaring type of heroine but quickly befriends the crossdressing school nurse Mr. Shizuki and the perverted Kureha among many others. Sunao is a heroine (more like a prince charming…) that acts as a counselor to help people that have problems and saves them from themselves and their painful pasts. But then old feeling resurface and Fujiwara Sunao is haunted once more by the memories of her own dark past.

Why don’t you read it as well? If you’re from Philippines, you can buy a copy from a nearest National Bookstore or you can also buy them directly to tokyopop since they’re the publisher of that manga.

      Have fun reading, guys!

    3. Pasikat sa Quiz Bee – failed!

Super busy ako ngayong week dahil sa dami ng ginawa sa school. Andaming activities after ng Prelim exam namin. Kami yung nag-host para sa Dicaa Math Quiz Bee and since “Top IT University” kami, kelangan namin panindigan. Kelangan high-tech din ang quiz bee proper so we decided to create a program instead of using the traditional quiz bee, yung nasa illustration board yung sagot. Ilang araw namin pinaghirapan yun, pinagpuyatan at kahit wala kami pasok talagang todo gawa kami lalo na yung head programmer namin.

Todo dry-run kami the night before ng event para ma-test ang program for errors or bugs. In effect, nagkagulo kami because we didn’t created a back-up server! So while they were troubleshooting the server, todo gawa na kami ng powerpoint for our contingency plan in case di mag-work ang program namin.

In the end, di rin namin nagamit ang pinaghirapan at pinagpuyatan namin. Hindi kami nagkaroon ng chance na ipagmalaki ang?gawa?namin,?ang?talino?ng?programmers?sa?AMA.?So?lahat?kami,?disappointed?talaga sa nangyari. But naging successful naman dahil sa bilis ng encoder namin (and that was me ^^), nakagawa agad kami ng powerpoint para magamit. Then we used netmeeting para makita ng mga contestant ang presentation right on their computer screen. Naka LCD pa naman kami puro virus naman pala, lols.

Anyhow, tapos na. The goodnews is, we survived!

Summary: Never forget to back up your files! Contingency plans are important!
