Birthday’s Over

My blog’s 2nd year birthday is over. Thanks to those bloggers who visited to greet the domain. :) I wasn’t expecting any comments because I haven’t dropped by on any blogs lately. For that, I promise I will do some blog round after this post.

My life is somewhat boring lately. Working at home means less adventure, less meeting new people and more importantly, less shopping. Well, that is because I don’t have a reason to drop by at mall after work. So I have to rely on online shopping instead (lol). Actually, I’m planning to buy a new novel to read again but I have no idea what series to buy yet. Should I continue the Nicholas Flamel series or buy the 5th installment of Septimus Heap? Or maybe I should buy both? What do you think?

I have a few Anime recommendation nga pala. Been watching anime movies lately to kill some time:

  1. Spirited Away
  2. Howl’s Moving Castle

I guess you’ve heard of it already especially if you’re an Anime fan. These movies are old already, more like 2001 movies but really interesting and fun. You should watch it.

Oh well, I just updated the blog and posted a sensible entry today. But before I end this post, I will plug my other site and online account. You might be interested to add me!

Got to go now cause I have blog rounds to finish. ~toodles

Happy Birthday, Blog

Time flies so fast, I hardly noticed that it’s my 2nd year here in this domain. Let’s celebrate! And because of that, I also uploaded a new theme. I didn’t sleep last night just to get this theme done.

Well, Remember my last post? I asked Sheryl if she can make me a layered PSD and I will be the one to code it. It’s nice that she agreed since I’m being a pain because I also assigned her another client’s task (lol).  And on top of that, I haven’t paid her yet.

Sorry, She. I promise I will send all payment on Tuesday. (^_~) Tomorrow pa kasi payday.

Blog post will end here, I need a sleep now.

A very random post

My brain is pack of random things right now:

  1. I want a new theme! I hope Sheryl will agree to make me one kahit PSD lang, lol. Her tumblr’s new layout is so kawaii!
  2. Been watching bleach again, Arrancar season. I heart Rukia’s zanpaktuo, Sode no Shirayuki. I wonder if Ichigo and Rukia will be a love pair soon.
  3. I’m still thinking if D5000 is more worthy than D3000. I can’t decide what to buy yet but the date of buying is official. I will buy a DSLR before April.
  4. Have lots of work in hand but still managed to go on a date, watch Anime every night and procrastinate.
  5. Next week will be boyfriend’s birthday. We will watch Alice in Wonderland in 3D as my birthday gift for him.

Now, I’m off to bed.

Next Project : A Nikon DSLR

I saw Karen’s latest tweet about her new Nikon DSLR and the idea of buying a DSLR hit me again. I already have saved a few $$$ and few more weeks and I’m off to buy one for myself. The money was supposed to be saving for a car but I will leave the ‘Save for a car’ after this transaction.

From Sheryl’s recommendation, I found an inexpensive one at Kim Store, an online store of gadget stuff. I heard about their store a few years ago but I never had a transaction with them yet. If I want to buy a gadget stuff online, I always trust EbuyStore. But for my DSLR, I think I will give Kim Store a chance to see if they’re legitimate.

I’m still choosing between D3000 or D5000. They have a small price difference: D3000 costs P24, 000 while D5000 is around P30,000. I need to read more reviews regarding these two before I settle in buying one cause I don’t want to regret it in the end.

Always keep in mind that you can’t buy the expensive one just because of the idea that it has more functionality to offer than the other one. What if you don’t need those ‘added’ functions? You thought that getting money is the hardest part when you buy something, but actually choosing the right product is the most trickiest part especially if big money is involved. So piece of advice, think about it for 10 times before buying something, read more articles and seek help from a professional.

So there, if you know someone I can ask about cameras, I need their help. I want to make a right decision here because there’s no turning back once the item is sold.

Google is my bestfriend

Google is very popular because of it’s intelligent search engine algorithm. Unlike other search engine, Google updates it algorithm (who knows when) to list top ranked website and give us an up-to-date information while searching. I always use Google for searching information.

Aside from the search engine, what I love about Google is their internet-based services and product such as Gmail, iGoogle, Google Videos which we actually use always.

Well aside from those application mentioned above, I have few recommended services that you might haven’t tried yet.

  1. Google Docs – now it’s easier to share your document with your classmate, professor or office mate. It is a free, Web-based word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, form, and data storage service. It allows users to create and edit documents online while collaborating in real-time with other users. Meaning, you and your workmate can work in one document at the same time. Good for partner thesis or group projects.
  2. Google Notebook – it allows users to save and organize clips of information while conducting research online. This is like your typical notebook where you can jot down important things when you visit a library but instead, being done online. This tool permits you to write notes, clip text and images, and save links from pages during a browser session. The information is saved to an online “notebook” with sharing and collaboration features.
  3. Google Reader – my favorite web-based aggregator capable of reading RSS feeds. I’m a blogger, I follow your blog post but too lazy to open a tab and visit your homepage. So here goes my savior, Google reader. It synchronize my favorite blogs and I will be able to read their entries if they have a new one. I usually do this so don’t think I’m not updated with your blogs if I don’t leave a comment.

I just learned about these applications when I started the homebased career. Most of my document are uploaded in Google Docs so I can share it easily with my client and have some real time collaboration. Notebooks are used for quick reminders and updates and lastly, Google Reader to keep in touch with blogosphere.

And before I end this post, don’t forget to add my Google ID in case you want to contact me. Ah, I can’t leave it here to avoid SPAM so instead I will add you on my contact list. Just use your primary email address when you leave a comment so I can get your email add.
